This is an original production cel from the Disney movie The Little Mermaid (1989) on a non-Disney hand-painted production background. Ariel, sitting on a rock, looks down in amazement as the power from Triton's trident transforms her into a human.
This cel was actually photographed to make the movie. The background is a production background from a different, non-Disney cartoon. The actual background for this scene is a similar sky view.
The horizontal line just above Ariel's wrists indicates where the bottom of the camera view will be.
The actual cel size is 9" x 12" (HxW). The size of the painted image is 7.5" x 4.5".
